Mars the red planet Research: Shocking discovery

The mystery of Mars the red planet will be solve soon

Mars the red planet: Researches have proved that water was present there for millions of years since the time of Mars’s creation.

Much recent researches have proved that water was present there for millions of years since the time of Mars’s creation. But later the water disappeared from Mars. Once this planet full of oceans is dry today, which has surprised many people how it happened. Now researchers at the University of Arizona have found out the reason. Researchers have discovered vast amounts of water in the upper atmosphere of Mars where it is rapidly ending. This seems to solve the mystery of Mars.

Help from NASA’s MAVEN Mission

Shane Stone is a graduate student of Lunar and Planetary Laboratory of Arizona University and the lead author of this research. Shane has worked in NASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution i.e. MAVEN mission since 2014. The MAVEN spacecraft has been circling Mars since 2014. During this time, the data of the composition of the upper atmosphere of Mars has been collected from them.

The disappearance of water on the Mars the red planet

Stone said, “We know that there was water on the surface of Mars billions of years ago, at that time there must have been a much thicker atmosphere. But we know that we have somehow lost most of Mars’ atmosphere. MAVEN is responsible for the processes responsible for this. Trying to know. One of these is to know how the water actually disappeared from Mars.

NIGIMS gathered information

MAVEN enters its atmosphere once every 4.30 hours while circling Mars. Its instrument, the Natural Gas and Ion Mass Spectrometer NIGIMS, is measuring ionized water molecules in the upper atmosphere of Mars. It is 100 miles above the surface of Mars. With this information, scientists were able to find out how much water is present in the atmosphere of Mars.

MAVEN and Hubble Telescope

Previous observations of the MAVEN and Hubble telescopes have shown that the amount of water in the upper atmosphere of Mars is also less. The Sun’s orbit of Mars is more oval than that of Earth and it is closest to the Sun during the summer season of the southern hemisphere of Mars.

These activities on the Mars the red planet

Stone and his team found that when Mars is near the Sun, the planet gets warmer and more water that is in the form of ice on the surface of Mars gets into the upper atmosphere from where it gets lost in space. This happens once a year on Mars i.e. once every two years on Earth. Regional dust storms come on Mars every year, while there the global storm once in every ten years, which makes the atmosphere there more warm. This causes water to rise up further.

Lost in space

Usually, Mars ice turns gas into water and then due to the rays of the Sun, they break down in the lower atmosphere and then start coming upwards, while on Earth they are not able to come up much and cool down by precipitation. Come down to the surface. Once in the upper atmosphere, water vapor starts to break down and eventually goes into space. Red planet is known as Martian.

The researchers calculated and found out that this process must have been responsible for transporting the water of the oceans of Mars into space, which continues even today. Nevertheless, researchers believe that this is not the only process that will be responsible for doing so. And there is a need to find out the reason.
